South African pop star Jimmy Nevis has been tearing up the airwaves ever since the release of his debut album Subliminal. Nevis’s label, Airborne Records, thought it would be a great idea for his fans to experience an intimate performance from Jimmy at one of the best venues the Mother City has to offer. Naturally Kilowatt AV was on hand providing Jimmy with his sound, lighting and video mapping for a one night only show at the Baxter Theater Concert Hall. Nevis and Airborne wanted a show with an international level of production on a minimal budget, so it was up to Kilowatt to make it happen.
It makes such a difference working with such a professional team. With Brad Brachhausen on lighting and Wayne Ellis from Afterlife mapping a very cost effective stage design, it’s not surprising the show went off as well as it did. Wayne really just used columns of white draping and this made the stage look awesome, Marcus Housel managed Audio and his JBL rig the JBL rig sounded incredible. All in all everyone pulled together and gave the fans a show to remember and most importantly Jimmy and his band rocked it.
“I would just like to thank you and the Kilowatt team for an amazing job done at Jimmy Nevis LIVE. We were all happy with the end result as well as the fans who were blown away.” Tony O’Connel
