Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is one of the biggest events on the local fashion calendar. Fashion guru Gavin Rajah decided that this year his show would be in the hands of Kilowatt AV. The objective was to ‘bring the set to life’ and to ‘put the models out there’.
“Our solution was to incorporate tracking set flats onto the 22 by 3 meter high-glossed ramp to give the impression that it was floating. We also projected Gavin’s vibrant mind-blowing concepts onto the backdrop of the set and illuminated the show with our LED screens.”
“I was extremely happy with the way the event ran. All my suppliers met my expectations and even my deadlines. I would really like to incorporate more AV elements in the future and after the success of Fashion Week I feel that it definitely brings the conventional fashion look-and-feel to life. It’s also really helps with the demanding turnaround times we have to contend with on shows like this. Working with Kilowatt’s project manager on the show, Neil Zaayman, was an absolute pleasure as always and I must say that now that I’ve got the necessary fashion “know how” I’m can’t wait for the next fashion event.”
