NEW YEARS EVE, V&A WATERFRONT

Formative designed and produced the enormous 50meter wide and completely unique semi transparent stage of which we projection mapped with a 9 minute custom 3d animation and audio sequence.

We used our d3 servers to pre-visualise, sequence, map and playback all content and send midi show control to synchronise lighting for the entire countdown sequence.

We believe it is possibly Africa’s largest projection onto a temporary built structure!

V&A Waterfront

The V&A Waterfront is a mixed-use development comprising residential and commercial property, hotels, retail stores, dining, leisure and entertainment facilities. Spanning 123 hectares, it’s a space where you can work, live, eat and play.
