Provide concept, design and technical consultation, and operation and project management for the CTEMF 2013. To provide technical support for all side-show events such as “Bridges for Music” with Richie Hawtin, and The Boiler Room”, where local acts were streamed live via the internet to an audience of thousands. We were required to work within the parameters of both the international and local technical requirements, as well as within the parameters of the budget.
“Our biggest challenge for the main event was the wind factor. Situated on a rooftop at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront parking lot, our 8m x 10m structure was faced with wind speeds of up to 60kms per hour. We also had to ensure that we didn’t disturb any residents so were constantly having to track and maintain decibel levels. Intense planning resulted in a well-organized, seamlessly run event. All Heads of Departments provided vital input and all on-site operators worked extremely hard. CTEMF is fast becoming the definitive showcase for South African electronic talent – all parties at this event used this platform to establish a partnership with the aim of working together on future events.”
